You may have seen a post or two about Captain Parmesan’s First Birthday on Instagram, so I thought I would finally share all the details and DIYs from Olive’s Second Barkday. I opted to host an ice cream PAWty at my house and we invited over all of her FURiends!

I always choose one or two points of interest to focus my decorating efforts on for any party I host. For Olive’s birthday I focused my attention on the living room and the dining room.
In the living room, I blew up tons of colorful balloons and scattered them throughout the room. This electric balloon pump was a life saver and it only took about 20 minutes to blow up all of the balloons. I also created an ice cream stand that I decorated with a banner and colorful balloons that spelled out party. I will share more DIY details in a later post, in case you would like to recreate the ice cream stand. The ice cream stand ended up being decorative and useful, since guests dropped their presents on or near the stand.

For the dining room, I kept the decorations minimal, since the balloons in the living room created such an amazing impact. The tables were covered with these cute sprinkle tablecloths I found at Target and I set out a small toppings bar because we couldn’t have an ice cream party without sundaes! The final touch in the dining room was a photo display with memories from the previous year.

I couldn’t let our guest go home empty handed, so we had PAWty favors waiting for guests to grab on their way out with a few treats and a toy inside.

I also had an excuse to finally use my Coton Colors Happy Everything Ice Cream Cone attachment! I am obsessed with the Happy Everything collection, I love how I can simply add a festive pop to pieces already on display in my home and if I don’t want to have an attachment on a piece, I simply swivel it around so you can’t see the velcro. Using a chalk marker I added a cute phrase to my Striped Bone Big Attachment, that I simply wiped off with Windex after the party.

Here are a few more photos of the pups enjoying the PAWty and asuper adorable photo of Captain Parm wearing a tiny birthday hat!
