Happy (almost) Easter! In Northern Virginia, the flowers are blooming, the weather is warming up and the tourists are flocking to DC to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms. So, spring has definitely sprung!
In an effort to embrace simplifying the holidays in 2019, I have started to scale back my holiday decor. The easiest way I have found to do that is by focusing on a few key areas, rather than trying to decorate every nook and cranny. The key area that I decorate each holiday are the photo gallery shelves in my living room.
I love decorating that focal point above the couch, I simply shift over the frames on the bottom shelf, add my Heidi Swapp Light Box with a punny phrase and hang up a banner (or two) using the clear 3M Command Hooks I have strategically placed, so they are unnoticeable when not in use, allowing me to leave them up year round.
For Easter, I also decorated the dining room and the doodles dog bowls. The other areas that are easy to decorate in my home and don’t require a lot of prep/undecorating, include, the bulletin boards in my office, the entryway and the front door.
Is decorating the doodles dog bowls peak dog mom crazy? How do you decorate for Easter? I’d love to see your colorful and vibrant spring decorations, feel free to share them with me.
