HOLIDAY TRADITIONS

I love to celebrate ALLOFTHETHINGS, holidays are no exception! Here is a cheat sheet to all of my holiday traditions…

Valentine’s Day

  • Mail Valentine’s cards
  • Countdown calendar filled with dog treats for the doodles
  • Bake heart shaped treats and decorate with heart shaped sprinkles!
  • Heart Shaped Pizza

St. Patrick’s Day

  • I celebrate Easter, so sometimes St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t get the creative attention it deserves, but last year I made this fabulous rainbow wreath and I hope to find some fun traditions to start in 2019.

Easter

  • Easter baskets filled with goodies and a solid chocolate bunny
  • Easter mass
  • Brunch with my family
  • Mail Easter cards to family and friends

Fourth of July

  • Bake red, white and blue treats
  • Host a BBQ
  • Watch fireworks
  • Celebrate the USA!

Halloween

  • I finally live in a neighborhood that takes trick-or-treating very seriously, I love it!
  • Hand out big candy bars to trick-or-treaters
  • Semi-homemade Halloween costumes
  • Brainstorm the BEST group costume for me and the doodles
  • Fill our Halloween countdown calendar with treats for the doodles
  • Mail Halloween cards to our family and friends
  • Host a pumpkin carving party
  • Carve a pumpkin
  • Bake pumpkin treats
  • Make Fall Snack Mix
  • Fill the doodles treat buckets full of toys and treats

Thanksgiving

  • Bake apple pies with the apples we pick each Fall
  • Bake and decorate hand turkey sugar cookies
  • Find cute items for the table, like napkins, plates and place cards
  • Take a sibling picture in our crochet turkey hats

Christmas

  • Advent calendar with RAK cards, a Christmas activity and treats for the doodles
  • Mail Christmas cards and ornaments to family and friends
  • Watch Christmas movies
  • Go lightseeing
  • Make egg nog on Christmas Eve with my brother
  • Decorate a gingerbread house
  • Attend a cookie exchange
  • Bake lots and lots of Christmas cookies
  • Visit the National and Capitol Christmas Trees
  • Photos with Santa at Tyson’s Galleria

New Years

  • Bubbles in plastic champagne flutes
  • Festive treats
  • Lots and lots of appetizers
  • Confetti tossing!
